Losing weight is an ongoing process, a life time commitment. You can’t lose weight overnight. It requires physical and mental hard work. It is a mental and physical battle but it is not impossible to achieve. You just need to incorporate healthy changes in your lifestyle. Some people go on crashing diet in the hope of losing weight fast but they end up gaining more weight. So if you are trying to lose weight then keep following things in mind:
Make food your best friend: Food, we eat when we are happy, when we are sad, when we celebrate something, when we are depressed, in all occasions food is with us. But the most important motive of eating food is to get proper nutrition from it. This is the main purpose of food. So before eating any food, think if it is good for your body or you are eating it for the sake of taste.
Healthy diet: To keep your weight off you need to burn more calories than you consume. That does not mean you will deprive yourself of food. Eat healthy food that will nourish your body and give you energy.
Exercise is the key: You won’t lose weight just by eating right. Workout is as important as eating healthy. Do the workout that you enjoy and stick to it. Exercise not help in losing weight but also make your skin glowing and healthy.
Don’t restrict yourself: To lose weight you don’t have to put yourself in a diet mode. You can eat your favorite but in moderation. And weight loss is about eating right, not eating less. So make healthy choices.
Don’t measure your weight loss success by number on scale: Don’t get depressed if the number on the weighing scale is not changing. Feel good if you start to fit in your old clothes. Number on the scale will not change even if you have lost some pounds because you have lost a body fat but gained muscle which is good.
